01This agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Fayvar legal entity name to be confirmed for using fayvar.com and the Fayvar apps. By creating an account you accept them and our Privacy Policy. If you use Fayvar for a company or fund, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for it.

These terms are an electronic record under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and do not need a physical or digital signature.

02Your account

• You must be 18 or older and give your real name and correct details.
• One person, one account. Keep your email and any password private; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Investors must turn on two-step sign-in before messaging startups.
• Tell us straight away at the grievance address below if you think your account was misused.

03Verification

A person on our team checks every startup and investor before they get a verified badge. You agree that the documents and details you give us are true and that you are allowed to share them.

Verification confirms that an organization exists and that you can act for it. It is not an endorsement, an audit, a credit check or investment advice. We may remove a badge if information turns out to be wrong.

04What you post

You keep ownership of everything you post: your page, posts, reels, numbers and documents. You give Fayvar a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, show, copy and adapt it (for example resizing images or re-encoding videos) only to run and promote Fayvar, for as long as it is on Fayvar.

You must not post anything that:

• is false or misleading, including made-up traction, customers or investors;
• you don’t have the right to share, including someone else’s confidential data;
• is unlawful under Indian law, including content prohibited by the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021: obscene, defamatory, hateful, infringing, harmful to children, or that threatens the unity, integrity or security of India;
• contains malware or tries to get around Fayvar’s security or limits.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules, and we act on court and government orders as the law requires. You can report anything with the Report option on every page, post and chat.

05Fundraising and investing

• Round details are shown only to verified investors, so that startups can follow the private placement rules of the Companies Act, 2013. Startups are responsible for complying with those rules and any other law that applies to their raise.
• Investors make their own decisions and do their own checks. Match scores, signals, memos and AI-written drafts are aids, not advice.
• Any investment is a matter between the startup and the investor alone.

06Connections and messages

• Startups ask investors to connect with a short note; investors can accept, decline or block. Requests expire after 21 days and there is a weekly limit.
• Be professional. No spam, bulk messages, harassment or sharing chats to embarrass someone.
• Calls are never recorded by Fayvar. Don’t record others without their consent.

07Data rooms

A startup can share documents with particular funds. Each copy opened is watermarked with the viewer’s fund, name and time, and the startup can see who opened what and for how long.

If a startup shares documents with you, treat them as confidential: use them only to evaluate the startup, and don’t copy or pass them on without the startup’s permission.

08AI tools

Fayvar’s writing tools draft decks, one-pagers, updates and posts from your own published page and the numbers you choose. With AI writing turned on, an outside provider improves the wording (see the Privacy Policy). Drafts can be wrong: check everything before you share it. What you publish is your responsibility.

09Fees

Fayvar is free during early access. If we introduce paid features, we will tell you the price and terms before you are charged; nothing is charged without your agreement.

10Suspending or closing an account

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law, or that puts other members at risk. Where we can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. Some parts of these terms (licences already used, limits of liability, disputes) continue after an account is closed.

11Our responsibility to you

We work hard to keep Fayvar available, accurate and secure, but we provide it “as is”. We don’t guarantee that it will always be available or error-free, or that any connection will lead to an investment.

To the extent the law allows, Fayvar is not liable for indirect losses or for decisions you make based on what other members post, and our total liability to you is limited to amount to be confirmed. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be limited.

12Complaints and disputes

Write to our Grievance Officer at grievance@fayvar.com to be confirmed. We will acknowledge your complaint within 24 hours and resolve it within 15 days, as the IT Rules, 2021 require.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in city to be confirmed have exclusive jurisdiction.

13Changes to these terms

We will tell you about important changes by email or in the app before they take effect. If you keep using Fayvar after that, the new terms apply; if you don’t agree, you can delete your account.
